Kimberly Harris is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who obtained her Masters in Education and
Human Development from Harvard University and her Masters in Clinical Pastoral Counseling from
Loyola University of Maryland. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Counselor Education and
Supervision at Loyola University of Maryland and is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NBCC).
As a psychotherapist, Ms. Harris has worked successfully with persons struggling with issues of
depression, anxiety, addiction, and relational loss and trauma. She is experienced in working with
children, adolescents and adults, and employs a strength-based approach, helping people identify and
develop goals that are most meaningful to them. Ms. Harris also specializes in working with couples,
helping them to learn communication skills that can move them toward a relationship that is more
positive and secure.
Prior to coming to the Center for Family Counseling, Ms. Harris was formerly with the Rappahannock
Community Services Board (RACSB), Fredericksburg Counseling Services (FCS), and the YWCA Domestic
Violence Counseling Center of Annapolis, Maryland.
