About the Counselor

Janet Suffel - Center for Family CounselingJanet holds a Master of Arts degree in Community Counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Janet is also a National Certified Counselor (NCC).

Janet obtained her Master’s degree from Regent University which is a CACREP accredited counseling program. Janet is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) and the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC).

Janet enjoys working with children ages 4 – 12 years of age who are experiencing difficulties dealing with life changes. These changes can be as simple as entering a new school to as complex as a divorce/remarriage of a custodial parent. Janet also works with the parents as Janet believes that the parents play an integral role in the healing process when working with children. Janet works with adults who are dealing with anxiety, depression and spiritual issues as well.
